It started with waving palms and declarations of a new ruler. The week was anticipating a busy end, with Passover flooding the city. It was an easy week, but the leadership needed to hold on to power, so they schemed to betrayal—a meal in anticipation of salvation, a meal calling for service and love. Then into the garden to pray and sleep and wonder where this week would end, but he knew a cross and an empty grave. May the 50 days of Easter fill you with anticipation, joy, and the faith to go to the tomb early each day to change the world like the women that day. And when you doubt, go with Peter to be amazed at how much love is in an empty tomb.
About Don
In various places throughout this blog, I describe me. But even then, I am more than that and often times less. I am a wanderer. Exploring gives me joy. I cook, and that is the reason for the entries that appear as both recipes and restaurant reviews. Knowledge and the ability to take that knowledge and build wisdom and insight makes me want to hop, skip and shout. I counsel, as a pastor, a spiritual director, and as the fool that is willing to live in dialogue. It is that foolishness informs this blog, my musing about faith, religion, and, life.
